This year, like the last 5 years, we have spent NYE with the Rodgers'. We are so lucky to have friends that enjoy hanging out with us A LOT! There never seems to be a dull moment, and we mangage to have lots of fun (even if we don't really get started until after midnight). This year we chilled at Jaycie and Randy's with some of their other friends and kids. We ate, played, put the girls to bed, and realized it was 11:40. This was too late to put the boys to bed, so Braden watched his first ball drop at midnight. Not too long after that, Jaycie put the boys to sleep and we played some serious Rock Band. We laghed so hard and looked really geeky! We finally made our way home around 3:00 (am). Of course, the kids woke up around 8:00, so we didn't get to sleep in. It reminded us why we don't "party" anymore.
New Year's Day is my mom's birthday. She was surprised to hear Braden singing Happy Birthday on her voicemail at midnight (believe me that wasn't planned!). We usually make it out to celebrate. This year we went to my uncle's house to have the Johnson/Walden gift exchange. I don't have any pictures of that, because Braden was a wild child with all the little boys around.
I only have a few pictures of New Year's Eve because I was busy monitoring kids, but here are a few to show we actually celebrated NYE 2008.
Kendall and Olivia after tubby time. They really wanted to go back downstairs. They looked so pitiful I had to take a picture.

Braden in his New Year's Eve finery. That hat looks great with the Cars jammies!

Braden and Jackson making some noise to ring in the New Year!
