So, to de-stress Dustin and I took the kids sledding down at the detention pond in our subdivision. Not a huge hill by any stretch of the imagination, but Braden gets a kick out of it and it is never crowded. It literally took us 30 minutes to get bundled up before going out. We don't own snowsuits, so we piece together odds and ends to make our snow wear. Braden LOVES sledding and is very brave about it. He goes down by himself and even carries his own sled back up the hill. Bringing his sled back up is new this year, but a huge plus when you go down on separate sleds. Kendall on the other hand did NOT enjoy the snow. She may have been better if the sleet/snow wasn't still falling when we were outside. She went down the hill twice and started chanting "bye-bye! bye-bye!" I wasn't loving the cold either, so I took her home and made dinner so that when the boys got home we could eat something warm. We had a good time and will probably do the same thing tomorrow with the extra 5 inches of snow we'll most likely get between tonight and tomorrow afternoon. Here are some pictures of our outing...
