On the Sunday before Easter, we went to the KC hall in Edwardsville to attend the annual egg hunt held there. We went to church and then, for a rare treat, we ate at Bully's restaurant. The kids were pretty good, but we rarely, if ever, take the kids to a restaurant. It is way too expensive, and let's face it, we have 3 kids!!! We reserve eating out for special occasions! After our lunch, we arrived at the hall to meet up with our friends the Rodgers. Randy was at the base for his drill weekend, so we asked the rest of the fam if they wanted to join us. The girls were super excited that they were able to wear "frilly" dresses and the boys were just excited to get to run around together. We collected quite a few eggs and then headed back into the hall to empty our goodies. The knights are "green" in that they reuse the eggs each year, so it was important that we returned the eggs to them before we left. The kids had a lot of fun (well, I should say the BIG kids had fun...the baby girls could have cared less!). We look forward to this event again next year!
