Can you say "Busy?"

At the Riechmann house we have been super busy with end of the summer activities. Here is a quick post to wrap up what we have been doing since the middle of July!

Braden finished up his first season of tee ball. He really enjoyed it and I am sure he is looking forward to playing again next season. His team (Team 5 - The Redbirds) had a pizza party at one of the pavilions to hand out their trophies. Each player received a bobble head trophy, which Braden proudly displays on the shelf in his room. Coach Daddy was ready for the season to end...who knew tee ball would be so time consuming?

We went to the zoo a few times throughout the summer, but I wasn't very good at taking pictures when we were there. This was the first year Braden walked instead of riding in a stroller. All of my extra thoughts were on making sure he wasn't trying to run ahead to see the next animal. I did get a few pictures of the kids at the shadiest place in the zoo...the sea lion show!

Kendall finally decided she liked the carousel.

Lots of love between these two!
Jaycie got the boys these airbrush tattoos. For being at the zoo, Braden didn't pick a very zoo-like tattoo, but he loved it while it lasted.

The train...the kids' favorite part of the Zoo!

After the Zoo and a brief nap (which explains the crazy hair) Kendall actually let me paint her finger and toenails. She is becoming a true diva!

Another fun event that we went to was the Mascoutah, IL homecoming. We had gone last year, so when the Rodgers family invited us to tag along again this year, we quickly agreed! After the success of Holiday World we knew the kids would enjoy yet another ride on the spaceships and rockets. None of the Riechmann kids was brave enough to try the dragon coaster or the Ferris wheel, but Braden and Kendall still had lots of fun!

The "sissies" riding together.

Before choosing this particular motorcycle, Braden went to each bike to make sure the annoying "horn" honked on it. When he found this one with the nearly continuous beeping noise, he knew it was the right one for him. Kendall is just along for the ride. She doesn't usually show a preference. True testament to her easygoing personality.
