Mom/Daughter Date Night

On Thursday, my mom and I went to the Muny. I haven't been in years and neither had Mom. We ate at Peel (I told you I liked it!) since she hadn't ever been there. We then headed to STL to see Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It was so cute! I remember watching the movie on TV before, but it had been a long time. We had nearly perfect weather considering the heat wave we've had lately. It sprinkled a little right before and during intermission, but it didn't hurt anything (unless you count my hair ;)). It was fun spending the evening with my Mom!!

Right before we hit the town!

Piggy Tails!

I wasn't sure if she had enough hair, but she does!! I can't believe how big two little piggy tails make her look! She's growing up so fast!!!

This was take 57 since she won't stand still long enough for me to snap a picture!

Braden took this one.  This was after she ripped the bows out...if you look closely you can see it in her hand :)

Donuts in the Park!

My friend, Lora, called and wanted to meet up for donuts because she knows how much my family and I enjoy them! We had already planned a storytime outing at the library that morning with the Rodgers', so we decided to meet up at Miner Park (adjacent to the library) to have a little breakfast date. The kids ate, Jaycie, Lora and I chatted, and then we went our separate ways. It was a fun-filled morning!

Spencer, Braden, and Kendall (and Avery in the background).

Tetherball game!

The baby girls enjoying their snacks.

Jaycie and Lora :)

Lora and me!

Wizard storytime!  The kids listened to a few stories, made wizard hats and fairy wings, made a potion, and had a snack.  We love our library!!

Son Surf Beach Bash!!

Braden had attended the Vacation Bible School at our church last year with his BFF, Jackson. They had so much fun they were very much looking forward to it again this year. The big girls were sad that they couldn't go too, but next year they will be able to join their brothers! We are so thankful that our church puts this on and that our kids have such a great time going! The free CD that we get is an added bonus that we rock out to all year long! A few of the messages from this camp were: Meet up with Jesus and Get fired up for Jesus. I love that the kids can get so excited about Church and God!!

"Bros"!

They ran out of shirts to purchase, so Jaycie and Randy made these with the iron on decals Jaycie bought from the registration table.  Braden was so excited about his he slept in it the night before!

Stolen Camera

The Sunday after the party, Braden had my camera on the way to church. He spent the long 7 minute ride documenting his surroundings. I was amused at the pictures, but also amused to find that he had videoed himself when he thought he was taking pictures. Since those are mostly only funny to me, I didn't add those, but these were easy to upload so here they are...

The End.

Cousins' Party

We were invited to attend a "cousins party" at my Dad's cousin's beautiful house. We loaded up the gang and headed toward Godfrey to visit with some very extended family. It was about 100 degrees out, so we tried to keep the kids inside for the most part, but who can resist a peddle boat? Oh, well I can, but Braden couldn't. Daddy agreed to help him peddle around the lake for a while. We had fun, but it was exhausting!

Amelia hanging out on a floatie...not in the lake.

Braden and Daddy.

Kendall with her new bag by our very talented Aunt Lissa.  This will be used to carry her dance shoes to her ballet and tap classes!

Avery just wanted to work out.  Geez, she is a health nut!

Let's Build It Now!

I started to assemble the cozy coupe myself on Sunday, but after a while, I needed some help...mostly because I had a lot of "helpers" who weren't all that helpful. Daddy came to the rescue and finished it up for us. I documented by taking pictures, something I am fairly good at :)

So excited she couldn't wait to get in!

Kendall was pretty excited, too!

Let's get rolling!

She rode all around the house, but we had to take it outside.  There just isn't enough room for a car in the house!!
